Rita Medany - Chair

Rita decided she wanted to run an Eastercon after the absorbing experience of being involved in Orbital. She is confident that she has the appropriate level of controlled insanity required for the job of Chair for Odyssey 2010, having been an enthusiastic SF fan for many years, a spreadsheet junkie for rather more and generally obsessive all her life.

Fiona Scarlett – Deputy Chair, Hotel Liaison and Membership

Fiona has been involved in running and helping with quite a few conventions now and still can’t remember why or how it happened. Odyssey will be her third convention as a committee member (including the wonderful Orbital 2008) and she’s pretty sure that’s more than enough to get her committed.

Judith Proctor - Programme

Judith has been involved in all of the Redemption conventions in various capacities, usually as chair, but also as hotel liaison, treasurer, etc. She was chair of Orbital 2008 and is now head of programme for Odyssey 2010. In real life, she is happily married, has two adult sons (and keeps wishing they’d give her some grandchildren), enjoys teaching, allotment gardening, poi, morris dancing and folk music. She also reads science fiction...

Nigel Furlong – Operations

Nige has attended cons since 1987 and has worked on cons on and off over the years. He fell in love at the 1995 Worldcon with a fellow fan he later married. Nige was on the two Paragon convention committees and also the Context Unicon committee. He’s looking forward to seeing you at Odyssey!

Melanie Davis – Treasury and Finance

When Mel was little she dreamed of being chosen to ride dragons, now she’s grown up she dreams of being a kick ass superhero. By day she battles numbers as an accountant for a multinational healthcare organisation and her husband claims she is the reincarnated Goddess of Accountancy. By night her hobbies include being held upside down and shaken until the change falls out.
